Anvil Industrial Group is looking to hire an experienced Industrial Painter with experience with industrial and construction equipment.
Position Summary: Responsible for a wide range of industrial liquid coatings which may include one, three-coat procedures to manufacture products per the specification of the OEM (Originator Equipment Manufacturer) and Customer.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform “Power-Wash” and other pre-painting activities on parts in preparation for painting/fabrication
- Performed high steel and structural steel painting
- Painted a variety of surfaces like aluminum, ferrous metal
- Operational experience in automatic spray units and tools
- Proficient in mixing finishes according to formulas using technology
- Apply a variety of industrial coatings to fabricated metal products
- Utilize instrumentation to measure painting parameters to ensure compliance with OEM specifications
- Responsible for the application of industrial coatings in confined spaces
- Assist in appropriately rigging large objects for the purpose of moving them in the process of applying the industrial coatings
- Suggest tools and equipment to improve the operation of the unit
- Assist in the maintenance of a clean and safe work environment and observe good safety habits
- Responsible for reporting malfunctions of equipment or processing to the supervisor.
- Ability to safely lift up to 70 lbs.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment, complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Must be able to read a tape measure, use a pry bar, be trained on and operate the forklift, use a hammer, wrenches, grinders, and all common hand tools
- Other job-related duties as may be necessary to carry out the responsibilities of the position
Required Skills & Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience knowledge of surface preparation to ensure proper coating adhesion and a basic understanding of paint equipment and paint-booth operation
- It is also the responsibility of the industrial painter to mix paints to specifications, so they must have a proven ability to use, mix, and spray Automotive/ Industrial Urethane Coatings, water, and Solvent Coating Systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication in the English language.
- High attention to detail.
- Must also be familiar with the various types of metal abrasive treatments such as media-blasting, chemical etching, Degreasers, etc.
- Positive attitude with a track record of delivering results.
- Self-motivated with a strong ability to multitask and operate with minimal supervision.
- Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks at one time and meet deadlines.
